Beate Spitzmueller, aus der Serie: Black with Line in Motion, 2025, 24x31 cm, Kreide, Bleistift auf Pigmentdruckartothek berlin was launched in 2021 as an initiative of the Milchhof e.V. studio community and artspring Berlin, a networking, self-organisation and presentation platform for artists from Pankow. artothek Berlin currently supports 52 professional artists with studios in Pankow, acting as an art broker to establish personal contact between users and artists when borrowing artworks via the website www.artothek.berlin. During the annual conference of the Artothekenverband Deutschland (Art Library Association of Germany) at the Kunststation, artothek berlin and the Kunststation agreed to present each other's works at their respective locations. Last summer, works from Kleinsassen were on display in Berlin, and now the 52 artists of artothek berlin are presenting small-format works in the studio space.
